Mission Statement

   The mission of the Choral and Drama Department of Alexandria - Monroe Junior Senior

High School is...

​

To provide students with the necessary skills to experience and interpret the art forms of music and drama.

​

To provide opportunities for all students to experience the performing arts and to encourage    growth in skills through the process of rehearsal and public performance, as well as    witnessing professional performers of the fine arts.

​

To expose students to music and dramatic art forms of many differing styles and cultures.

​

To encourage student growth as responsible citizens, students and representatives of  

   Alexandria - Monroe Junior Senior High School by providing opportunities for such growth with accountability through performances and other activities within our community and abroad.

​

To encourage an understanding of the importance of a well rounded education and equip  

   students to continue their growth throughout their continuing academic career.
